About Me
- Marcia
- From the beginning I loved textiles. As a child my mother dressed me in beautiful garments and as a young person Kismet was my favorite movie. The heroine danced in the bazaar flinging beautiful fabric.
Some of my mother's fashion handiwork.
How to Purchase
Because dye is difficult to control all orders are unique. If not already sold you may purchase the original. If already sold you can still purchase the "same" piece. Your order will be a new piece approximating the original as closely as possible (or with any differences you may request . . . perhaps you would prefer different colors). Clothing is available in S/M/L. Custom sizes are available. Money orders are preferred. Checks are acceptable and items will be shipped once they have cleared. Shipping and handling will be charged to the customer.

Haven't blogged in a long time. Lots has happened. I taught shibori at the 2012 SPIN Conference in Santa Fe. That was a blast! Met many world class fiber artists/teachers and humbly happy to be in their good company. I won the 2012 New Mexico Resident Fiber Arts Scholarship and went to study Silk Painting with Karen Sistek in Washington State. Even though the scholarship covered only a modest portion of my costs, I am so glad I went and met Karen. She is truly a dear heart. And the effort to go, then to be there, then to come back and start trying what I was shown is priceless. So I am going to post a bunch of pictures now so you can see what I've been up to. Also currently in two galleries: Romero Artisan's Gallery in Old Town in Albuquerque, and Johnsons of Madrid Gallery in Madrid, that quaint old hippie/biker/artists' town in the East Mtns. Also in two current shows until early Dec.: Albuquerque Airport and the New Mexico Cancer Center. And I continue to teach at Village Wools and privately at home. So that's what I've been doing since I last posted. Sorry for being such a lazy blogger. Everything is for sale. If you don't see a price e-mail/call me. The pictures I've just posted come up before you reach this post on the blog; sorry -- still not adept at managing this blog.
